Well, Antarctica is out for obvious reasons, Africa might be out, Asia can’t do it because of the olympics, what about South America? Maybe Brazil or another country in South America?

Spain could be one, I didn’t think about them. I think though, that Blatter will be hesitant to go to Europe unless its England, becasue they had it in 98 and 06. Australia is a long shot i agree, so I think the two most viable options are England and the US. We should play a game of basketball to see who gets it.

I’m thinking the three alternatives are England, Spain, and the US – and I have absolutely no basis for this whatsoever. I wouldn’t be surprised if Spain is at the top of the list based on their performance in the Euro’s – the nation will be riding high. I don’t think the Aussie’s will get it any time soon – they have a lot of large AFL stadiums but I’m not sure how easily those would convert to proper football stadiums (they are cricket ovals).
