We certainly could do with another central midfield player and he fits the mould of player Southgate has been bringing in. Young, Hungry with lots of potential. Plus he seemed to have a good understanding with Afonso Alves when he was at Heerenveen. Will be interesting to see if anything comes of this. Don't think we've ever had an American playing for Boro (technically Seb Hines is eligible through his father but he was born in England). I think I'd like to see him play at Celtic, it'd be good for him to get some experience in a league that is that different from the dutch league.
