Michael Bradley to Middlesbrough Back On
It’s been a long time since the rumors started about Michael Bradley, but they look close to ending now. With only six days left until the end of the transfer season, Michael Bradley still hasn’t found a new club. The Sunday Sun reports that Middlesbrough has failed in their attempt to sign James Harper, and will now switch their attention to Michael Bradley.
This is essentially a move that we all can be happy with. Bradley doesn’t move to a big club like he could have in Hamburg, but Middlesbrough is a solid premiership team. They most likely won’t have to scrap in the relegation battle, and maybe can push for a UEFA Cup spot.
It’s also a good time for Bradley to come in. Southgate has been searching desperately for a center midfielder for a while now, and he’s chosen Bradley as his man. With the departure of George Boateng earlier this summer, there is a vacant space in the midfield for Bradley to occupy.
Bradley will also play in a league that could help his game for the US National Team. Since the Premiership is a fast and physical league, Bradley will have to improve his first time passing which is something that he could be better at when playing for the Nats.
What do you think of this move? Will he join Middlesbrough or some other teams that are being mentioned? What is Bradley’s transfer value? Any thoughts go below.

Great move. Think he’ll move for about $6.5M. Hopefully this will be inked in the next couple days and he’ll obviously have no trouble obtaining a UK work permit

I agree that it will be a good move. Hopefully it will get done soon. I am tired of the rumors. Lets make this a done deal.

Well it’s now or never (or in 4 months)

im thinking he’s valued at about $7 million. That’s about 4 million pounds and that’s pretty reasonable for him.

whatever happened to the Everton rumor? They were linked with him early, and they’ve got to be close to giving up on Moutinho.

they’re also going after tiago Stephane Mbia and Albert Riera. From what I’m hearing, they are giving him a look, but they have other midfielders that they want more than Bradley. Celtic is also interested which could be interesting.

Tiago said he didn’t want to play at Everton, so that’s one out of the way. I think I’d like to see him play at Celtic, it’d be good for him to get some experience in a league that is that different from the dutch league.

Does anybody know where these rumours are coming from because there hasn’t been a lot of press in Middlesbrough about a potential move?
We certainly could do with another central midfield player and he fits the mould of player Southgate has been bringing in. Young, Hungry with lots of potential. Plus he seemed to have a good understanding with Afonso Alves when he was at Heerenveen.
Will be interesting to see if anything comes of this. Don’t think we’ve ever had an American playing for Boro (technically Seb Hines is eligible through his father but he was born in England).

FootMercato reports that once rejected Monaco has resurrected their interest in Heerenveen midfielder Michael Bradley, but Soccer365 was informed by club exec Yme Kuiper that no official offers for the U.S. international were on the table as of Tuesday lunchtime…
