Michael Bradley Transfers to Borrusia Mönchengladbach

Tag: UncategorizedMax Zeger @ 12:30 pm

We hadn’t heard much of Monchengladbach mentioned, but from what I’m hearing from sources close to the negotiation, Bradley is close to joining the German outfit.  A fee has been agreed upon, and Bradley needs just to agree to personal terms with the German club.

This is an ideal move for Bradley.  He moves to a big league, and a club that he can start at immediately.  Monchengladbach needs a central midfielder, and Bradley can elevate them to new heights.  I think Bradley was wise to move to a lesser Bundesliga side.  If he moved to Bayer Leverkusen or Hamburg, he would have had to fight for playing time much more, so in that respect, this is a better move.

Monchengladbach is an up and coming team as well, with young talents like Marko Marin and Rob Friend, Bradley will fit in well.

What do you think of the move?  When the details are released, what do you think the transfer fee will be?  Your thoughts below.

I think its a great move. He should get plenty of playing time and continue to improve. It would have been great to see him play in the Premier League, mainly because we would get to see him play once in awhile, but this move will be great for him. I’m sure he will move on to bigger and better things in the future.

I actually like it a lot. It’s a lot less pressure to play at gladbach versus a team like hamburg, so in that respect, this is a good move. Michael, if you have gol tv though, you will get to see him because they show 3 bundesliga games a week.

GOL TV, the announcers are…well, nothing like being at the game as oppossed to announcing from a studio, but seeing our American Talent abroad in major leagues is exciting, goalies don’t count.

yeah, the field players really excite me. I’m glad we’ll get to see him once every 3 weeks on average because we’ll get an idea of how well he progresses.

  5. Michael Harshbarger says:

Ya. Unfortunately the cable provider I’m currently with does not offer GOL TV, but I will be switching as soon as possible

that’s too bad. It’s tough to have a weekend feel right without Ray Hudson.
