Mark Hughes wants Brad Friedel
Since Mark Hughes’ switch to Eastlands, he has been linked with many of his former players. Now, it appears that the newest person on the list is Brad Friedel. Friedel who has been at Ewood Park since 2000 is widely considered to be one of the top keepers in English football. However, Joe Hart is the current keeper at city. The 21 year old received his first cap for England this year and a Friedel move would be a big blow to his confidence. Hughes thinks that Friedel would be a good tutor to Hart. A reported $3 million offer would be enough to secure Friedel’s services.
Is this a good move for Friedel? To be honest, his career is winding down and if he wants to stay with Hughes, then he should. He is good enough to start for any premiership team so if he wants to go to City, there’s nothing stopping him.
