Monaco was 12th in ligue 1 last year so I think he will have an opportunity to play. He certainly does need first team football so any move that gets him that has to be considered beneficial for him. I'd say the Ligue 1 and Portguese liga are pretty comprable so I don't see why there's any reason he shouldn't do well there.
