However, now they're mid table but have ambitions to win the league again and compete in the Champions League. The president was part of the US Soccer administration and is an American citizen. I don't know much about Monaco other then they're a middle of the pack Ligue 1 side and have an American club president. Since this move seems to have been in the works for some time Monaco must feel Freddy can come in a make an immediate impact.
