FC Dallas Speaks About Keeping Kenny Cooper
As Yanks Soccer reported earlier this morning, FC Dallas has decided to keep Kenny Cooper, and now the General Manager of the Hoops has confirmed what I reported this morning.
Said FC Dallas GM Michael Hitchcock:
“We received offers from multiple international clubs for Kenny Cooper during this transfer window, but we elected to decline them all. The international interest is a credit to Kenny, FC Dallas and the ever increasing talent level in Major League Soccer. Winning championships is our priority, and we feel strongly that Kenny will continue to be an important part of our success as we compete for the MLS Cup this year and in the future.”
Now that Cooper is set to stay in Dallas, I consider Dallas to be a real contender for a playoff spot. Keeping Cooper was the only way they would push for the playoffs and they have. If you want to know more about Dallas’ chances, I chronicled them earlier today.
What do you think of Dallas now? Can they make the playoffs? Was keeping Cooper a good decision? Your thoughts below.

If he continues to play well and earn some call ups for the full team then I see more, Larger offers coming for him in the Winter.

totally agreed. This was a move made out of necessity by Dallas. They simply can’t score without Cooper and if he leaves, so do their chances of making the playoffs.
