Eddie Johnson Close to Joining Cardiff on Loan.
I saw about a week back that Cardiff was interested in Johnson, but the report was from some tabloid newspaper, so I didn’t take much stock in it. Now however, the BBC is reporting that Johnson is in fact close to a loan move to Cardiff. If you can’t trust the BBC, who can you trust, so I’d say this move is very close to happening.
If we’re talking about sensible moves, this one lines up right at the top of the list. Johnson was unimpressive in his 6 appearances for Fulham last year, and a loan move to a team that desperately needs a striker is a good move.
You might recall that a certain Kenny Cooper was close to joining Cardiff recently before Dallas axed the move. There should be no axe from Fulham this time though. Johnson is in need of playing time, and he will be able to get plenty of it in the Championship.
What do you think of this potential move? Is it a good one? Is Eddie Johnson better suited for the Championship at this point in his career? Your thoughts below.

good move at one time i thought a move to the prem would be good and would get his head screwed on right so he would perform for a full ninety instead of short bursts…it didn’t happen so maybe more playing time and the fact that he is in a lower league will fuel his fire.

I think that the Championship is a fairly comparable league to MLS, where Johnson excelled, so I think it will be a good move as far as his results go. Hopefully, it will give Roy Hodgson a clue as to how to fix this kid’s game, because we all know he’s got the talent.
