Most of us have complained bitterly about Bob Bradley’s lack of imagination when it comes to selecting a squad, but now, with the players he’s chosen, he has to come up with a lineup that can beat the Guatemalans. Today, another American moves abroad! Maurice Edu put pen to paper today and signed a five year deal with Scottish giants Rangers. Edu left Toronto FC for a reported 2.6 million pounds, roughly five million dollars. Edu is currently with the US National Team in Guatemala, preparing for the USA’s match vs. Guatemala. American left-back, Heath Pearce is attracting some interest from Borussia Dortmund according to reports out of Germany. Pearce was told after the season in which Rostock was relegated, that his current club, Hansa Rostock, would be keeping him on, but it appears the interest from Dortmund might be too strong. Bruce Arena’s era has begun in LA.
According to sources within MLS and the Galaxy, Bruce Arena will be the next head coach of the LA Galaxy. Everybody who stayed up late and watched the Galaxy play Chivas USA last night saw Arena in the owners box, being courted by Tim Lieweke.
