Apparently, Cardiff really wanted an American striker. As reported earlier on YS, Eddie Johnson will be joining Cardiff City on a year long loan. I saw about a week back that Cardiff was interested in Johnson, but the report was from some tabloid newspaper, so I didn’t take much stock in it. Now however, the BBC is reporting that Johnson is in fact close to a loan move to Cardiff. If you can’t trust the BBC, who can you trust, so I’d say this move is very close to happening. Today, the Rapids and head coach Fernando Clavijo decided to part ways. Clavijo had not only overseen 3 mediocre years for the Rapids, but he recently had go back to his native Uruguay to take care of a family medical emergency. The Galaxy have finally offloaded Carlos Ruiz. The negotiations between Toronto and LA has been going on for quite some time, but last night, an agreement was reached. Sources with knowledge of the negotiation say that LA will receive a draft pick, and they will finally have the cap-space to add Eddie Lewis to their roster.
