Benny Feilhaber Joins AGF Aarhus

Tag: UncategorizedMax Zeger @ 6:07 am

There have been rumors circulating today that Benny Feilhaber was close to a move back to the states, in particular to join New England.  I’m about to squash them.  Steven Goff of the Washington Post spoke with Feilhaber’s agent, Lyle Yorks.  Yorks had the following to say.

“He had his medical and, if all of the final details are agreed, he will sign in the morning,”

With that done, and almost dusted, Feilhaber will join up with fellow American Jeremiah White and presumably slot into the starting lineup.  Feilhaber had the option to join MLS but preferred to stay in Europe.

What do you think of the move?  Should he have tried his luck in MLS?  Is Aarhus the right place for him?  Your thoughts below.

Teams from Denmark faired pretty well in UEFA Cup qualifying yesterday. I agree that he needed to stay in Europe but I’m just not so crazy about the Danish League. That being said, consistent playing time is what he needs first and foremost.
